Has WG lost popularity?

Yep, as I expected ... WG has fell off the face of the earth;)

Not as far as I am concerned. I used it several times last month, even on the red Miata I did last weekend. I have been testing the sealant over VM on a few cars to see if the durability is affected or not.

Same here. While I admit that I use VM/EX-P on roughly 2/3 of the jobs I do, the WG twins have a very different look and I like to use it for darker colors (red, dark green, black.) It's sooo easy to use and leaves such a nice, rich finish.

Like Scott, I too have been experimenting with WG's durability over VM. The combo has a clear, rich finish that's especially nice on black. Here's a black Civic I did with the VM/WG combo:

So for me at least, WG has hardly fallen at all. In fact, it's ease of use and appearance guarantees a permanent place in my arsenal.

I ve done multiple cars and never get less than 8 weeks out of the WG finish. (I would never go longer than that anyways) But with Floridas super hot weather and summer as a test bed, I just cannot understand those that "claim" the slickness and durability dimished after 2-3 weeks.

Also did anyone see this ??? http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/detailing/5256389-1.html now I know Steve is pro-Zaino (it is one of the best for durability I agree) , but man this barely puts it above NXT on the ratings scale. Does the use of a QD like Wolfgang, Z6 make that much of a difference ?????? :nixweiss

Mine is STILL beading after 2 MONTHS!!

It is beading EXACTLTY like #16!! Big beads. Where as the S100 is smaller beads.

The Wolf grows on me more each time I use it. It's so glossy and reflective! The Regal with Wolf/#16 looks superb still, and beads up like a champ (#16 is what's doing the insane beading). It was also quite slick.

I tried out WAUD on it after the wash and wow does it keep the shine on there! Plus, it seems to make drying even easier! The smell also reminds me of the liquid blue Simoniz I used to use on my first car (a 1987 Chevy Celebrity). EO WAUD is well worth the $4.

On cars I am using to see how long WG really lasts and how long it stays slick, I do not QD the roofs of the vehicles, just wash and the difference between the roofs and the hoods and sides that do get QDed is very minimal, so I know it is purely the WG that is staying slick and beading well. I have had it on a few vehicles nearly 3 months now and I have no complaints at all.

I have no good explaination why others may not have good results.

I've had great results with WG, as has Mike. Everytime I'm using it I say "this stuff is so easy to use!" Even in direct sunlight. :)

What I think is--people aren't as "wowed" anymore, and they're waiting for the new hotness.

The Wolf is great, durability has been good for me, seems better with 2 coats. Only problem is it seems to lend itself to waterspotting but I'm planning on topping it with #16 on the Lexus when I get the time.

I still mostly use NXT for customers though as it works well as a combo final polish/sealant step and tends to make wax only jobs come out better.

I was happy with Wolfgang on my Jet Black M3, but out of curiosity I did a full detail using Klasse last weekend. I think I like Klasse better. I saw my brother's LS430 today that I detailed using the Klasse twins about 2 months ago, and it was incredible. I have Klasse on my wife and daughter's vehicle's and it has held up very well.I just love using Klasse on my rims. So while I really like Wolfgang, I prefer Klasse even if it is a little more difficult to use. If I can ever figure out how to size pictures I will post some.
