Has anyone here used Poorboys Polishes or Compounds in the Sun?

How does it compare to using other polishes or compounds? Is there a big difference or is it slightly better when used in the heat? I've used M205 and D151 in the sun, and it still does a good job, but I think Poorboys polishes might have more of a 'wetness' to it that will allow me to work it in a little longer and won't dry up. I'm a mobile guy so I need whatever kind of help I can get...
 
Poorboys changed the game for me. With you being mobile, I highly suggest them. All of their polishes are really user friendly and do a fantasic job too. Heres a link to a truck I done last summer with all Poorboys products. It was 107° that day, humid as hell, and had no shade all day. Some Master Cut, Pro Polish, Black Hole, and EX-P all in the direct summer sun.

They do seem to break down a little different than other polishes, but the learning curve is easy to get past.
 
^^That turned out nice. It's even a black vehicle and they hold the most heat! I'm about to pull the plug on some new polishes and compounds. The Meguiars line is some good stuff, but what good is it if you don't have the right conditions for it? I am always constantly having to work it in fast because it dries up so fast and always having to clean the pad because it's full of caked on polish. I'd rather get better correction with polish I can use in the sun than with top of the line stuff that always needs shade...
 
I know what you mean. I used to be 3M all the way, and I always struggled when I was working outdoors. Give PB a shot.. I think you'd be happy with the results.
 
It's what I learned on. I keep trying the "latest and greatest" and keep going back to what I know works, how to work it, and comfortable and confident of results.
 
To be honest, I find the PB SSR line dusts a bit too much for my liking. Could just be user error though (too much product, not cleaning the pad well enough, using a pad too long, etc)

BUT it allows the job to be done as far as the working time and ability to wipe it off. Performs better in the heat / sun than M205 I can tell you that

Never used D151 but I LOVE Poorboys polish with sealant. That is my go to AIO no matter what the conditions.

and I keep Ex-P on hand specifically for mobile jobs on hot sunny days. Even under the canopy some LSP doesn't play nice in the heat

I've been using PB for 10 years and as Ronh said, tried many of the new products, but come back to PB every single time. Not that I'm looking for a replacement just like to see what's new.

If you're working in the sun this is an excellent choice IMO..

could be out of line here - but I think the SSR line is diminishing abrasives but the newer 'master compound' relies on SMAT. Might want to confirm with Pockets on that


and someone just mentioned polish with carnauba. Was using that all yesterday on a 22ft Mako. PwC white works well on gelcoat so I keep it handy for boats
