Noicee the relfection, tire shine ect.?

I sure wish I could detail cars for huge shows like SEMA's.....

back to Astrto vans for me... :(

MMMM lightning.

Anyone watch the Man show the other night when he was doing the "full service" at the gas station and the women pull up in the Aston Martin? Yhea, that's me right now :D

I love that color :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :bow

Oh, I wanted a Lightning soooooooo bad......but the voice of reason triumphed, and I stuck with a much more economical 4-door. Sigh...

There is that rumor of an SVT Escape though....

I detailed a couple of Subarus for a club at the last Hot Import Nights in Dallas. The engine of one of them was in an online import magazine.

I don't really go looking for that type of business though. Those type of details are really time consuming and I am usually too busy to set aside an entire day for one car...and unless it is a Porsche or Ferrari owner, they don't want to pay $300+ for a detail.

Scott is so right on this one, But it is some of my fav cars to do. I love doing show cars, most of the time they are not to dirty an if someone is willing to pay the $200-300 for the "show detail" I would love to.

300 USDollars

weeew

what's the price-money then?

Or do those contestands just do it for the Glory and Fame?

Most of the "Hey it's new car season" type car shows cars are detailed, if you want to call it that, by the dealers prep guys (or gals). When I first moved from California to Texas I did a few of these shows just to get known in the car circles and show my work. I did the cars at a bargain basement price if they gave my cards out in their little "info bags", got a few customers that way.

Now I only do shows if asked and of course if paid. The reason not many detailers do car shows is that the car freaks who love to show their cars also love to clean and prep them. It's a therapy/anal thing for them.

What a detailer can do, and what I feel is much wiser, is rent out a space or booth at a car show and "show" your work. Works for me ;)

Last, most car shows are filled with people who go broke with the admission fee, two drinks, a pretzel and a hot dog! :(

"THAT IS WAY TOO MUCH CAR FOR YOU BROADS"

If you want to detail at a car show, you could try to approach some local car dealerships. The "new car" season is right around the corner and most major cities have large Autoshows of some sorts. It would be cool to get paid to spray QD all day!
