Has anyone compared FPII and SFX3?

After using MPP, sometimes I like to finish with FPII for the highest gloss.

I recently acquired a bottle of Sonus SFX3 (which funnily smells like 1Z polishes).

Has anyone had experience with the SFX3 and how good a finish it leaves compared to FPII?

have used sfx 3 after FP II with great results. On it's own SFX 3 is sensational, especially after IP & FP 1 or sfx 1 and 2

Love the clearcoat clarity, wetness and shine that #3 provides.

FP II I really love. Easiest swirl mark and hologram remover ever.

Agreed, SFX-3 is a very good product

Really! So FPII is between SFX1 and 2?

Sounds like you've tried both...which of the two finishing polishes left a better finish for you?

FP2 and SFX 2 both finish really well, and i could goto my LSP on black using either one.

FP2 is oily, and the SFX system isnt. That might influence what one you use depending on what you will put on after.

It also might be hard to determine what the exact level of perfection FP2 produces due to the oils.

I use SFX when applying a sealant, FP2 if i am using EX or a caranuba.

Follow Sonus SFX-3 with your choice of pure carnauba wax or pure sealant.

So what do you follow it with

I just need some clarification here.

When you say FP2 do you mean Menzerna FPII, because that's what I'm talking about. I never considered FPII as being oily.

How does it finish compared to SFX3?

Well, maybe oily was a poor choice for words. I just dont think i can goto a sealant like SG or Zaino after FPII. I think it contains a slight amount of fillers, and that would have me question how well it would bond to those sealants.

If you are trying to get rid of hazing from a harsher polish, then i would use FPII. SFX3 is really mild.

Does it produce a finish better than FP2? Hard to say, ive never done a side by side. Both produce very good results.

Ok thanks. :up

BTW, none of the Menzerna polishes contain fillers, so don't let that concern you as to LSP. :D

Yeah, FPII isn't supposed to have fillers, but more lubricating oils.

Any more comparisons to how well SFX3 finishes? Get my new bottle in today.

FP II oily and contains fillers? Not on the planet I live on. This is CMA's BS coming out again. I wish they would pull that BS story about FPI having lubricating oils added and calling it FPII. FPII is Micro Polish and has been all along. It's filler free and perfectly fine before sealants.

Yes, absolutely. In fact, one will notice a "FP II" label has be slapped right over the original label that says "Micro Polish" on the 32 oz. bottle. IMO, this is a case where a re-name ( in the US) should never have been made.

Very true.

I was about to order FP from sportscarcare.com, but ordered from CMA instead because they had the new FPII. Would prefer to support sportscarcare.com as Chip there provides great customer service, but ended up making a mistake.

Oh well.
