Harley Screaming Eagle with BC04

This was a client that I did 2 cars for this year. Normally I don’t like bikes and am fortunate enough to be busy so I usually don’t do them. But I wouldn’t have felt right turning him down. Not terribly bad but just a whole lot to do! All correction with Griot’s fast cut cream on a 2 inch Griot’s microfiber pad, refined with Griot’s perfecting cream on a yellow perfecting pad. Finished off with Modesta Primer on a black finishing pad. All done with the I Brid. Chrome hand polished with Griot’s perfecting cream, coated with Dr. Beasley plasma coat, as well as wheels. Rubber and plastic trim with Modesta trim coating. Nothing but Griot’s rubber cleaner on tires. I should mention we washed with Griot’s rinseless wash. Thank you for looking!

Looking at that final pic of that Harley just makes me tired. I don`t do too many bikes either and still consider buying a bike lift. Great job on that Screamin Eagle!

Awesome work, Mike Lambert !!!!!

Just beautiful work on that Harley ! Wow - what a lot of work !!!
And I thought Airplanes were bad... :)

Love your most organized, beautiful shop !!! Just perfectly laid out, everything in the right places...

I think I remember you way back when before you had gray hair ! :) You were just a rookie.. :) Now look how much you`ve grown !!

One day, you will retire and open up Lambert Detail University - an amazing place for people to come learn from the Master !

Thank you and yours for all the excellent work you always put into every one of your projects !
I/we are so grateful !!

My wife and I really appreciate the kind words! Been a ruff week, we lost one of our dogs Monday. As much as I don’t like bikes it helped keep me occupied.

Mike,
So sorry to hear about this.. :(
Losing family members is never easy..
I take comfort and hope you take comfort in knowing that those sweet spirits go back to where they came from and that we will be reunited with them someday..
Take care, you guys..

I cut my teeth doing Harley`s. I didn`t have the iBrid in those days it was tough getting into the small areas.

I would break the bike down.
I removed the seat (detailed the frame) saddlebags/tour pack (polish and seal the bottom and inside areas)
While the bags were off it made it a lot easier to do the inside rear wheel area (caliper/frame etc.)
Those mag wheels don`t look like they were not too tough compared to other types (or spokes).
What I learned is...most H-D owners think you should work 8+ hours and make no more than $100.

Agreed!
It is not advisable to "dress" the tires" but...I have used DLux (sidewall ONLY) with good results.
Any tire dressing can cause the side of the tire to become slick. That can be deadly in a turn.
Motorcycles use the "round" surface of the side of the tire to lean into turns.

It looks GREAT! You did an EXCELLENT job!
