Harley - S100 question

I'm over in Dalas next week (from the UK) and thought it would be the ideal opertunity to pick up some S100 from a Harley dealer (since I have Pin Sov. and S100 get such good reviews from you people + you cant get it in the uk). Anyhow - looked on the Harley website and they no longer mention S100, but just some Harley branded cleaning products. Can anyone let me know if Herley dealers still carry S100 wax - regards
 
I guess you will have to be lucky,

S100 is to be discontinued (a dying product?)

once it's gone , it will never return.

From what I've learned here PS21 should be the same product in a diffrent box (and a bit more expencive)

Wht dont you just order it from autodetail.com they shipped p21s to me here in the uk. It only cost 40 pinds for two pots of it. Im sure they sell s100.
 
At least pick up a couple bottle of Glass Enhancing Paint Cleaner or whatever the S100 equivalent is. It's wonderful stuff.



And check more than one dealer; I can't believe *every* HD dealer is already out of S100.
 
You shouldn't have any problem finding S100 in Dallas, if you've got the time. Make up a list of phone numbers for the Harley dealers in the Dallas area and call them when you get to Dallas. You may also find S100 at Honda/Kawasaki/Yamaha/Suzuki dealers. If you're already using Souverän and can't get any S100, don't dispair. I've got both and I like Souverän a little better. As a matter of fact, yesterday I applied S100 to the right side of my car and Souverän to the left just to see if I notice any differences after a few washes.
 
oh chit! I just picked up a jar of it yesterday from my harley dealer here in lansing MI and they've got plenty of it and the other S100 kits/stuff..... but if its gonna be a gonner product that sucks!! Unfortunately they didnt have the GEPC.... :(

Texas Harley in Bedford has 3 jars left. If you would like, I can go snag one for you (and one for me) and hold it for you this weekend. I live in Arlington which is between Dallas and Fort Worth.
 
Yeah, I heard there going to put more of a caranuba solution in the S100 or something and maybe just sell it as P21S. It's available online, I'm pretty sure. Anyways, when my Meguiars #7 and # 26 combo runs out, I'm thinking of getting more Meguiars # 7 and maybe moving onto S100 for a wax. Right now, I wash every week, wax every two, and use # 7 followed by # 26 every 4 weeks. Tough, but works well. I want to know though if the S100 Glass Enhancing Paint Cleanser is a polish/glaze to be used like Meguiars # 7 is or if it's only to be used like once, then followed by S100 and then maybe every month or so, I can use the # 7 followed by the S100 or do I use the GEPC followed by the S100 instead every 4 weeks? Thanks a bunch guys, and good luck finding the S100/P21S!!!

S100 Shine Enhancing Paint Cleanser is very mild. It seems to have some very light polishing properties while #7 is mostly oils. S100 SEPC seems to be in between #9 and #7 in aggressiveness, but I am sure you would be fine using it every 2nd or 3rd time you wax with S100. It definitely leaves the paint ultra slick so the S100 Paste Wax goes on real easy.
 
After seeing other posts about them discontinuing or reformulating S100 I went to my local dealer to pick up another batch to have on hand. Lo and behold they have plenty in stock but most of it has a new part number and a price of $22.95 as opposed to a few of the old that I found on the shelf for $14.95. The wax appeared to be the same when I opened one of each and the containers were identival as well. I guess everyone going to the Harley store to buy the S100 cheaper then P21S got somebody pissed.

But the S100 formula which used to be the same as P21S for $10.00 a container is now going to be reformulated (read cheapened here).

Actually, it sells for $10 less, not $10 total.



In any event, I highly doubt they will cheapen the forumula. It is highly more likely (in lieu of the $22.95 price White968 mentioned) that they are going to make subtle changes to it and raise the price more in line with P21S.



Regardless, I went to Texas Harley and picked up 2 more jars. They said they only had 3 left, but I saw 2 more lower on the display case, so they still have 3 instead of just 1.
 
Depending on where you are in Dallas, you can go to Harley of north TX in Carrollton, i just bought some there and they had plenty on the shelves. Look them up in the book, it shouldn't be that bad of a trip.
 
man all this talk bout S100 dissapearing is sad:( im sure the "new" product will be better, all be it more $$:down maybe they will just keep P21S and do away with S100, problem solved i guess? in any event; im gettn' some more S100 soon
 
My dealer said that he has not heard of s-100 being changed/cancelled. He is still able to bring it in. Has anyone heard it is being discontinued or changed "officially"? inquiring minds want to know....:confused:

I didn't search for this, so maybe the info got blown away in the server outage. The news first came directly from DavidB himself, and there was this long thread about it. Later he (or someone) talked to CMA and they confirmed this and have apparently already received their last shipment of S100 and the replacement wax should be in production by now.



I imagine what we see now is what's still lying around in distrubution centers.



It sucks, I know. :( As Canada's only locally available "terrific wax" fellow northerners should go and get some while they can (I did).
