My son placed a box on my hood. I later found a few scratches in a rotating motion. the box was approx 3lbs. The car is black and was Klassed two months ago. I do everything by hand. I tried SMR, (was all I had) to no avail. didn't expect much, they're scratches, not swirls.



What's my next move?



I'm quite the rookie. please lead me by the nose.
 
Can you feel the stratches with you fingernail? If so, it will require filling them and then wet sanding and compounding. If you can't feel them with your fingernail you can remove, or at least reduce, them with abrasives.
