Nick,

Word of warning regarding the plastic stick-on carpet protector. While it is great for keeping dirt and mud off the carpet while under construction, it tends to leave adhesive on the carpet causing the areas that were covered to soil sooner than the uncovered areas. Builders will not admit to it because it is a quick and easy solution to protecting carpets but a lot of carpet installers will not put it down or even recommend it.

I just got back from the house and checked it out. Fortunately, they used painters tape (very low adhesive) and most of it is attached to the hardwood floors and/or the baseboards. The carpets will be shampooed prior to me moving in as well, so all is good...for now ;)

Well, it ended up dumping about 2.25" of rain in a matter of a couple hours....it's was a lot. Combine that with thunder and lightning, and it was a detailers paradise. It was nice to kick back, spend some time on DC, and go out to eat with Leanna and the family. Yup...supposed to rain again today :angry
