Hands Down what is the best...

I agree with LouisanaJeeper. Mother's Chrome Polish is very good, it's available in local stores at a good price and it protects on it's own.

the chrome in the above picture looks great, but

I'v not seen better results than (believe it or not) stoners invisible glass.

my friend has chrome rims on his camero and wasted time with different chrome polishes and pastes.

one day i came over with stoners and sprayed some on his rims and he couldn't believe his eyes, he said they have never been that shiney before.

oh yeah is so easy too.

just spray on and wipe off.

no lie. the chrome looks amazing after you're done.

my 2¢.

p.s. it makes alloy rims look great too.

ive seen aersol window cleaners like automagic gliptone and invisble glass used on chrome rims

i wonder why glass cleaners in aerosol form work so well for chrome?

There's no polish that works like Flitz. Check out the CMA new products section - I see that guy has just discovered Flitz and says he's seen nothing like it.

I use Mothers Billet and Flitz, both very good. I think Flitz can be used for spot areas on paint too.

I dunno about using Flitz on paint...*I* think it's too aggressive for that. I don't even like to use it on silver-plate. Good stuff though, been around forever. A VERY similar product is called MAAS, I've seen that one at Target.

Hmm.. not just like p21s multi surface restorer then

Correct. *IMO*, Flitz is simply a metal polish. It CLAIMS to also be a fiberglass cleaner, but *I* find that it marrs the gelcoat.

I've always had good luck with the Mother's polish. I haven't had any chrome to polish in a while, so I haven't really tried anything else.

As is so often the case on Autopia ... "it depends." Do you want a one-day shine for a car show or other short-term glory? or do you want an approach that will shine up your chrome AND protect it for a longer time? When I'm after a quick-shine, I'll go with Never-Dull or Mother's. When I want long-lasting shine, protection, and ease-of-cleaning, I'll clean, then polish with Mother's, then wash with a good carwash soap, then apply Zaino's Z2.
