Handle on Polisher

So I did a bit of an interior detailing today.

I got some Klasse Vinyl, Leather, Rubber and Plastic Cleaner Protectant for Christmas. So I used it on just about everything...it didn't clean very well, but it added a great gloss....initially.

now on my dash, there is a milky white residue all over. It's from what I can only assume is the Klasse. Did I use too much product? or was I using it wrong? or what?

Had you used another brand of dressing on it earlier and if so, what brand and type?

It may be that is the concern, if so, clean it with a good "water-based cleaner", allow to dry and then recoat.

Sounds like you had a dimethal silicone/petroluem distillate dressing on the area and when you applied your new water based it reacted as it should.

What handle do you guys and gals like to use on your polisher? Bail Handle, Side pole handle or none at all?

I don't use a handle on my rotary or PC....I do use the stock one on the Flex DA though. To me handles just get in the way and IMO the side handle tends to make people apply uneven pressure or even tilt the pad a little. :)

Currently I use no handle but would like to try a bail handle. Does anyone know where I could get a bail handle seperately?

Makita 9227 - Bail and Left side mount
Flex 3401 - Palm handle seems most efficient
Porter Cable 7424 - No handle

The Makita is the first unit that I've ever used the bail handle. Initially looking at it I thought I'd never get used to it but I did and very quickly. The thing I like about it is the flexibility in hand positioning and I find it easier to keep the correct pressure on the pad.
