Today I was feeling a little lazy and decided to take the black stang to the hand car wash. I was a little worried at first but I thought to my self its just a hand car wash. how bad can it be? OMG I was wrong!!! After inspecting the car I noticed about 8 scratches, and the finish is covered and I mean covered in swirls. So next weekend I have to do a 2 or 3 step polish. I am sooo mad. sorry just needed to get it off my chest.

theres times in the winter that i really dont want to wash my truck. but i just leave it dirty till its warm and nicer out then go to the carwash. the paint thanks me ...

I take my car to a new soft cloth car wash in town or a touchless car wash , and as of yet I dont see any marring at all , and believe me I check. Some of you guys must have soft paint. My car is a medium blue metalic Ford Escape.

I can't tell if this post is serious or not.... but if it is, I have to wonder if that place is spraying a filler product of some kind on during the wash that hides the marring.

Yes this post is serious. My car gets washed twice a week because it sits outside 24/7. I qd/spray wax often. I clay once a year. I wax maybe every 2 months, somethimes with a cleaner wax/sealant and somethimes with a straight wax/sealant. For the winter I will clean it with Klasse AIO and follow with Klasse sealant glaze, then after a week I will put on a coat of Collinite 476. On my wifes van which sits in the garage will get a cleaning with Dura gloss 501 and follow with 601 and then 105.Then thru the winter on days that are warm enough I will use spray wax such as Megs Ult.spray wax or Dg aquawax. Both cars were clayed in the spring.I do have other waxes such as Natty Blue, Maxx Wax, Megs 26, Mothers FX and others that I use when the mood strikes me.

I have yet to see a tunnel wash that did not leave scratches.
I feel for those who want to keep a clean car and don't have a warm garage to wash it in.
If I was faced with that I think I would just use a quarter wash place to get off what I could until it got warm enough to do it right.
