Halogen lamp to view imperfection in the auto paint!

From another experienced pro I would also suggest the LED Brinkman along with a dual halogen stand. I wish I had gotten the rechargeable Brinkman rather than the battery powered one but other than that, they are great.

What kind of lighting would you want to stay away from? I was looking at some light in autozone yesterday that plugged into a ciggerette lighter, the thing looked like a beast. But I notice sometimes when I use a light it can be so overly bright that it makes everything look white and you can't see any imperfections or perfections for that matter...

For interiors I like to use an LED drop light I got at Walmart for $20.00. It puts out the perfect amount of light when working inside. I don't think any light that is so bright that it blinds you is really nessessary. I think LED is the way to go but right now there aren't any LED stands on the market that I know of so we have to settle for halogens. There is a thread about the LED stands (or lack there of) on here somewhere.

I've seen a few LED stands lately, but they're ridiculously expensive as compared to the halogens or even a fluorescent setup.

I think it would be awesome to have one but I'm not willing to pay an arm and leg for something like that. Maybee one day Harbor Freight or Northern Tool will carry them. For now I'll keep blowing bulbs and getting my neck sunburned from the halogens lol.

I was thinking somewhere more in the lines of...
