Gtecnhiq C1 vs Aquartz vs collinite 476s

Somebody here said it didn't last long for them....I forget the specifics but what they posted sorta scared me off trying it
First negative comment about C4 that I've heard. Been using it for 4 months on several cars with great results. Best trim protectant on the market today bar none IMO.

AeroCleanse & Legacy99- Yeah, I think your experiences are the norm, but I do recall somebody who was so unhappy with it that his post sounded like "are you guys nuts?!?"...very different to say the least! I was just wondering if anybody would chime in from that side of the fence.

I'm assuming it'd be a substitute for the Ultima Trim Sealant that I'm using now, right?

Right, I did a 50/50 on my wiper cowl with UTTG on one side and C4 on the other. It's been 4 months now and the UTTG side is showing spots of white and the C4 side is like the day I put it on. Car is a daily driver and outside 24/7. Up until now UTTG was the best trim protectant till I found C4. No doubt the best trim protectant on the market today.

I have an unopened Aquartz/Aquart+ twins, I need to sell them, as I have plenty left.

C4 is amazing on plastic trim, looks good even after all this winter abuse.

Legacy99 & Aerocleanse- OK, copy that on the durability. When I finally run low on the Ultima I'll keep it in mind.

Back to the original topic, I wonder how Aquaquartz or C1 would work for things like suspension pieces, brake backing plates, and other undercarriage bits that I like to keep nice  I need something that'll wear like iron without the need to layer heavily.

Sorry, never used it for undercarriage. Never thought you would crawl under a car. I know you have a lift. LOL. Wouldn't you need something sprayable..this stuff is too expensive to spray. Maybe aerocleanse can chime in.

Heh heh, are you kidding?!? I do the undercarriages of every vehicle at every wash, summer, winter, every time :D I sold the shop with the lift, and now I just keep floorjacks and stands in the washbay and do it that way.

I wasn't thinking sprayable, I usually use the same sort of stuff I use on the rest of the vehicle, just with an emphasis on durability over looks.

Don't get me wrong, I usually only LSP the suspensions/undersides/etc. of the good vehicles. And even with those, it's hard to get the LSP to last with the sort of aggressive cleaning I have to do during the winter.

Actually, when I finish posting here I'll be cleaning up the beater-Audi; I'm just killing some time while the shop warms up. The undercarriage cleanup will take maybe an hour or so, and on that one (once it's clean) I just spritz stuff that shows with FK425....that's good enough for a beater if I redo it every week or so (after each wash).

When you say undercarriage, do you mean the wheel wells or the complete underside of the car?

He most likely means the whole under side...

Yeah, the whole thing including all the nooks and crannies. I used my EZ brush to get between [all sorts of things] and the floorpan, for instance.

I'm an absolute fanatic about the *whole* vehicle being clean. And I do a thorough inspection while I'm down there; I never need a mechanic to point out anything that needs attention (and the mechanics never get their hands dirty working on anything of mine).

Just finished it...spent more time by far on the undercarriage and engine compartment than I did on the rest of the car but you could eat off it (and that's zero exaggeration ;) ). That car really needs a paintjob something awful, but it's *clean* :D Not sure how long it took, but you can compare the post-times on this thread and maybe subtract five minutes from the difference...hey, looks like I did it in under four hours!

My hat is off to you.
