Gtechniq Giveaway

Hi Mark,

Did you ever call anybody with your issue or contact Autogeek? This is honestly the very first complaint I have ever heard about their product line.

Yes, I know, this did appear like a one off unusual set of circumstaces that I encountered with the C4 product.

I did follow explicit application instructions with the product, in that I did do a thorough cleaning with an APC, then onto an Alcohol wipe down to get this particular plastic piece as pristine clean as possible before C4 Application.

I was told by other members, and was also contacted by someone from GTechniq, a possibility of over-application (determined by how much product I actually used to coat this particular piece) but there was never an offer of re-imbursement.

I wouldn't have thought such a product would be that sensitive to a possible over-application, and one quality I noted about C4, and somewhat similar in properties to CQuartz DLX, the product cannot be monkeyed with while curing as the product then gets a tacky feel, and will only smear at this drying phase.

When I did acquire the brand new Step Pad, and installed, it was treated to a coating of CQuartz DLX immediately, and this product has worked admirably well on this part, as well as all other Plastic Trim Pieces everywhere else on the outside of vehicle mentioned. Even the Windshield Wiper Cowl was removed, cleaned and treated with DLX, and the differences were not at all subtle.

Perhaps my own fault that I never personally contacted AG, and communicated, or pressed them over the possible issue of a refund-credit for this particular product. That I know AG commonly does back all it sells with an iron-clad satisfaction guarantee.

Have not tried any Gtechniq products as of yet. But with leather seats, i would love to. Thanks for the chance. :autopia:

Never have used a single one of their products but I am looking to branch out from my current arsenal and this would give me a great opportunity. I'm sure most of these people deserve it more than me. But hey got to be in it to win it!! Thanks for the opportunity.

I have yet to use their products but would truly enjoy giving these a whirl and posting reviews of course :)

Thank you for the chance!

Been one of these guys that like to try different products to make an informative decision on something from experience not rumors. Tried Rain Dance, Turtle Wax, Meguiars, Liquid Glass, Zymol, Einsett, Finish Kare, Merzerna, Zaino, P21S, Klasse, Wolfgang, Duragloss, Poorboys,etc.. Might have miss one or two over my 30 year span. Was at Detail Fest this year in Stuart Florida ( From Massachusetts) and got to meet the man behind Getechniq. Would really like to win this so I can give you my unbias decision on this new product line. I will even throw in some before and after photos...

Would love to compare Gtechrig to the everyday Meguiars products to see if there really is a difference.

I'm sure it's way too late now, some perhaps 15+ months later, to contact AG about a product I'm unhappy with, and want compensation.

The 1/2 bottle still sits in a front bedroom box. Whether its still liquid, or turned to rock, I really couldn't care, I won't put it on anything of worth to me.

Used Gtechniq's G5 first time last night and now I can't wait to drive in the rain! Ha!

When trying to choose, it was your review Todd on G1 vs G5 helped me decide:

http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums...mart-glass-vs-g5-water-repellent-coating.html

I'm always looking for ways to contribute back to the forum, it seems like Gtechniq's line isn't well known, so winning this cool bag of Gtechniq tricks would allow me to write up a review or two and help my fellow members out!

Well to be honest.... I don't "NEED"it.... But who doesn't love free!!!! And I haven't really done any reviews because I start to then get so caught up in the vehicle that I don't stop for photos....

Here's to you

Cool giveaway Todd, Iv'e only used Gtechniq Smart Fabric and that stuff works amazing, really interested in trying out some of their other stuff! :D

Goodluck everyone!

I would like to win this because GTechniq is top notch in their coatings and would love to find out how their other products perform !! I have used the Universal Cleaner....very impressed and familiar with their coatings which I used on clients cars from time to time.

Its free! We all love free stuff especially when it is products like this.

I have tried their G1 Vision and have to say that stuff is amazing. I think it is totally worth it for folks like me. It is like set it and forget it. Once its on, you don't have to worry about it for a looonnnggg time. Slight learning curve for me on removing the product though and also because I find cleaning glass difficult.

Would love to try the C1/EXO2 combo one day.

Thanks for the chance!

I've always wanted to try these products, especially. I have wanted to try the G-Wash, since I have the coatings (C1 & EXO) on the paint. I've wanted to try L1 because I have used the CarPro leather coating, and would love to see the difference, especially since I was underwhelmed with the CarPro and heard great things about the GTechniq offering. And last but not least, I actually need to try some more quick detailers, especially since I mostly use waterless washes. I just picked up some SONAX BSD, so I'm slowly making a dent, but think I need to up my game in this department!

For the last four years detailing product options have sky rocket. New names, new methods and new science has arrived to the scene. And after testimonials, reviews and test I was looking for my chance to try Gtechniq.
Some pics.

Can you say Hydrophobic??

I took it outside to see how it works. Took a panel in descent condition to lay down a coat of C1 to try it out.

Sprayed some Panel Wipe. This is some serious stuff. Product ability is very tangible for the touch. You can actually sense the solution working.

Thanks to this little detail in the C1 bottle you wont have bad accidents were you end up spilling the contents at once. Nice.

Important to screw the cap back on, and put in a safe and cool place. You dont want to drop this glass container and lose your product.

this is how my thin coat of Gtechniq looked like. :inspector:

After removing residue, from a cloudy look I notice the change on the surface, a progressive change as the clock kept adding the minutes.

Very happy with ease of use and quality of the finish. Got to mention that next early morning, since the car sleeps outside is always wet. All wet except for the fender. It's very impressive how this science works. Thanks for looking.

I am a gtechniq believer, I currently have their c1 and exov2 on my daily driver.
However I did not document myself using these products as I was in a rush last year when I had it applied.

However if I am selected from this giveaway, I promise I will do a full review on each and every product received!!
