GT Supercar - 50 hours of paint correction

5lbs of Kobe as a tip! One of the best tips I've heard of.

What an incredible job on the car. 50 hours of paint correction is mind-blowing. The work on this board never ceases to amaze me; always pushing the limits, I love it.

The afters look tremendous. The paint looks nearly fake its glowing so much. Love those tires, too :D.

Thanks Sean! He was a great guy to deal with. He just told me to make it perfect and to treat it as if it was my own car that will turn heads. We sat down and I explained to him what I would do with it and he just had a smile on his face. He said if it comes out as good as I am saying it will, then he will give me some of the best steak I have ever had as a thank you tip.

The day he came in to pick it up he brought his Porsche for me to do next and also a cooler full of Kobe. I then was the one that had a huge smile on my face.

50 hours seemed more like 100's. The hood was the most challenging part for me. I had my back bent over and my knees scrouched for long hours and 7 steps just on the hood. Working inside the channels on the hood is tough. I was in severe pain that night and the next day.

I asked myself hundreds of times, why do I do this type of work. Everytime I see the finished product I always get sucked back in and I am ready for another.

The owner has some more pics he will post up from the race track.

All I can say is "WOW".. You did an amazing job here and the car looks brand new. The amount of hours put in is just rediculous, amazing detail!!

Here are some pics of the Ford GT at NH International Speedway. Here is what it looks like in the triple digits:bigups

Simply Amazing!

Ron you look like a pro racer:spot

p.s. when is it my turn to take it for a cruise?

Thanks for the nice comment. Not bad for a car that has over 10,000 miles on it.

I love doing this work, but I hate the long dreaded hours it takes to make perfection. During a job like this, I always ask myself, "why do I do this type of work and start thinking about a career change"? But after the car is complete, I always say, "I am ready for the next victim".... The finished product always keeps me coming back for more. I just love perfection.

I guess I love the long dreaded torture.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. There's a point that gets crossed where it becomes an art form.

Very nice. And the car actually gets driven. Then back to rydawg! :)

He drives the car very often when it's nice out. He doesn't care about the miles and will never sell it. He takes EXCELLENT care of it mechanically and physically.

I taught him how to do Z6 and Z8 wipedown to keep it cleaner and protected without marring it and he is a master pro now. I did this car a couple months ago and it has NO marring at all. The paint is as crystal as the day I finished it.

I went to his house yesterday to see how it was doing and I was very impressed to see that the paint was still so flawless and the protection was beyond insane. I still went ahead and applied a coat of Z2 just for good luck and the two of us are very OCD.:grinno:

rydawg,

I am changing your name to rygod !!! I am so thrilled with the results ,I get wood looking at it !!! AWESOME JOB , thanx roketman

Thanks Ron!

I am glad you are enjoying your GT and your Porsche. You are doing an amazing job at keeping them 100%.

Thanks again for all the connections and referrals!!!! You are a great friend.

Thanks again for all the Meat. They were delicious!

Great work! I've detailed a few of these due to my one customer being basically obsessed with the Ford GT. He owns 4 of them at last count.

Thanks!

Owning 4 of them is very obsessive.:chuckle: What colors are they?

I really want a red one myself.

^^^^

Thanks, Ryan. It's in pretty good shape, and I think I'm going to save it for last. When it's time to start on it, I'm sure I'll be contacting you. The nice thing about working at his garage is that I'll be able to use the lifts you can see in the background. I really appreciate you offering your assistance....I know you're a busy man.
