What is everyones favorite Quick Detail spray? I like the price of both Speed Shine and Eagle One Wipe and Shine, about $.28 an ounce.

Has anyone used Speed Shine?

Opinions on Griots Interior Cleaner?

Opininions on Griots Wheel Cleaner?

How About Griots Paint Prep?

I know all the opinions on Griots being overpriced, and I agree on most things. But I would love real opinions on their car care products.

Thanks!!!!!!

kiwisholland- Welcome to Autopia! I've used all four of the products you mentioned (and most of Griot's other stuff too) and they all work well. Speed Shine works QUITE well and seems to deposit a bit of protection, due to its wax content. After using it to remove a bird bomb, that area was beading better than the surrounding area. The interior cleaner is fairly mild, but still does the job. It does NOT seem to adversely affect any interior surfaces. The wheel cleaner is NOT the most aggressive stuff out there, but IMO, it's strong enough. In fact, I dilute the wheel cleaner a bit with water and it still works fine (and is a little easier on my sealant). I've only used the paint prep prior to paint touch-ups. I wouldn't bother with it to remove waxes/sealants the way Griot's recommends.

If you like Griot's stuff, get their boar's hair wheel brush (pn's 92546/47) and their smaller boar's hair brushes (pn 15520), which are PERFECT for washing nooks and crannies (inside fuel fillers, door jambs, etc.). And I virtually ELIMINATED wash-induced swirls when I switched to their Car Wash (previous favorite was Pinnacle, or maybe P21S, liked them both, now use only Griot's).

I am NOT a fan of Griot's waxes, and you can do better for polishes and towels too.

If you think the price is fair, then go for it. His stuff is all guarenteed.

I like the car wash, the wheel cleaner and the window cleaner. The interior cleaner is very strong, try on delicate surfaces first. The vinyl dressing is excellent, too.

The 3 finger wheel cleaning mitt is pure genius.

I'm tired of all the overpriced comments. A 100% guarentee for life and one-stop shopping are worth plenty.

I agree on the waxes, ( a tad warm, but brings good color) but I can't even use the wheel cleaner without wearing gloves. If this stuff is mild, I'd like to know what is strong! Ditto the interior cleaner.

kiwisholland- As you can see, even when Autopians AGREE on Griot's products, we sorta disagree! :D While we're on the subject, the Undercarriag Spray deserves a mention!

Heh heh, well, as they say, "one man's soup is another man's gravy" :D  . I ALWAYS wear gloves when I'm washing, so your comments on the wheel cleaner don't surprise me. *I* found it a lot milder than A2Z (old, acidic formula, now THERE was a STRONG wheel cleaner!), EF H-I (depending on the concentration), and even P21S wheel cleaner. And note that I still dilute the Griot's wheel cleaner. It's NOT weak!

I've been using their Interior Cleaner for so long I can't even REMEMBER what I used before it for a comparison (but it smelled lemony). I meant that it hasn't had any detrimental effects on any of my interior surfaces (even ones I'd consider "fragile" or delicate and that REAL dirt sorta takes a little work. For cleaning leather, it seems a LOT milder than my "leather cleaners", and for cleaning (really) soiled carpets and floormats I always use something stronger (strong mix of carpet cleaning solution or P21S TAW).

Not disagreeing with you at all, just claifying.
