Griots Garage

Never mind actually, I just looked at their site. I have no idea as to what that is, but they used to sell the PC. My mistake.

Yeah its a Mosay. You can see the vent for the saw dust collector on the bottom. I was told that it didn't bite as well as the PC's do.

I think that Richard Griot is a genius. He sells the lifestyle that so many of us try to live. Smart because he's making a killing. Bad for us because he's quite expensive. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for the machinery...you'll probably find it cheaper. As far as the chemicals go, his machine polishes are decent (a client gave them to me), his tire dressing is phenominal. I've tried his window cleaner and his wax, wash and dry towels. They are useless. I use them to clean up spills in the shop. I threw out the window cleaner.

I could be wrong but at least when it came out the Griot's polisher was cheaper than the PC. I had a pc that was bought as a gift for me from Griot's (before they had their own), which broke, and I Griot's replaced it for free with one of their units, which has been great actually. Their customer service is awesome. Their waffle weave drying towels are really nice, as is their car wash soap.

If I was just detailing my own cars on the weekend, I would buy everyone of my products there. Their catalog is the #1 read paper in my bathroom!

:D I was droppin a huge one and was readin about speed shine just an hour ago

No time at present for my usual, long-winded post about GG stuff. Their good stuff is very good, their mediocre stuff is mediocre, and their lousy stuff is pretty crappy. Everything is a bit expensive and the shipping costs a *lot*, but they do package your stuff nicely and their customer service is good.

jp2175- Just to show that everyone needs to keep the "YMMV" thing in mind, I really like his window cleaner (and I've tried a lot of different ones) and I *do NOT* like his machine polishes :D Heh heh, that's certainly not intended as an :argue and yeah, I too like Richard (ad copy hyperbole and all ;) ).

Review I read (on Meguiar's Online I think) confirms that.

I'm under the impression that all the liquids etc sold at GG are just custom labeled Chemical Guys products.......but "watered down"...?

(just something I was told a few days ago in fact..)

I doubt that's the case. Richard might BS a bit, but I don't think he's out-and-out lying when he says they manufacture some of their products (e.g., SpeedShine) in house.

Back in the day I believed his products were relabeled Meguiar's stuff (I couldn't tell a difference with some of the products, and I was comparing them directly), but that was a long time ago.

He doesn't make the clay or some other stuff though so I bet he makes some stuff and relabels other stuff.
