Great paint, wanting to keep it this way

My truck is a year old and I have maintained it well since I bought it. I generally use Meguiar's #7 and then a coat of collonite wax. I am looking for advice on maintenance; since joining this board I am swaying to use the Klasse sealant glaze. Is it necessary to use the Klasse AIO before this or can I just use my normal Meguiar's #7 followed by the sealant glaze, and then followed by the collonite wax?

Also, once this is done (if you think this is a good combo for me) will I just be able to periodically wax say every month and do a full detail twice a year (Meguiar's #7, Klasse sealant glaze, then collonite)??? Will this keep my paint well protected?

Thanks for the help, this board has been extremely helpful.:D

I think your choice of Klasse is good. However, I don't think it would be a good choice to use #7 Show Car Glaze before (or anywhere in) the Klasse process. As I understand it, putting some glaze (#7) or wax (collonite) under Klasse SG, it will be prevented from adhearing. The AIO removes these things that prevent SG from bonding and also does some other cleaning.

You might want to top the Klasse with Collonite after you've finished layering the Klasse (waiting about a day or more between layers), you can top it with Collonite.

If I left anything out, just ask, but I think that is the best I can do without trying any of the products you mentioned.

That makes sense. Now I have a few questions though.

Does the AIO take a day to cure before the sealant should be applied?

I would like to put a few layers of the sealant on (and I believe I read it I need the day here between layers); Can I put the second layer on in a few days? And if so, what is the prep for doing so; do I just give a wash?

Again, thanks for your help. Glad to see others around that care enough to keep their cars looking good cause my girlfriend just doesnt understand this obsession.

Nope, you can start adding the sealant right after AIO. If it were up to me, I'd just give apply Sealant after every wash (I do weekly washes on my car which lives outside 24/7) Otherwise, you should be able to give your car a quick detail as long as it doesn't contain something that will prevent the sealant from bonding. For me, I'd just apply Sealant Glaze every time I wash my car which is, as I said, about once a week.

You can get some additional information information once you arrive here at the Autopia University by clicking on "Autopia Member Articles" and then "Jimwh Klasse Instructions (updated)"

I know how it is not having family understand; I get it all the time from my sister and my dad. (my mom is fairly understanding) :)
