This vac I bought at Sears about two years ago and works damn good. I had other brand before but never worked like this one. I it's called the "tote and carry" but no sure but Sears still sell them.

I think mine is 5hp, but I trust ya! I really like the size the most, being able to fit it in my car, no problem is nice.

I have the same one. It is still sold. Check HERE

Ridgid from Home Depot sells the same style with a slightly less powerful suction ability.

Basically the same as the WD4050 Ridgid.
Both are 5 hp and have great suction.
Both are excellent wet/dry vacs.
Ridgid also makes a WD4550 that is the same vac only it is self storing in a case that looks like a toolbox. I have this one.
All three are made by Emerson Electric. (Or was it Car Guys:))

I don't really know if there are any differences, but I doubt it.
The WD4050 is usually $69.95 at Home Depot. I have never seen it on sale.
The WD4550 is $89.95. Also, never on sale that I have seen.
The Craftsman is $69.95, but was recently on sale for $59.95. That sale does appear to be over. It's probably worth $69.95 and IMO would be a deal at $59.95.

Charles

Edit: Evidently the Craftsman has a 1-1/4" diameter hose, The Ridgid is 1-7/8" diameter. I have no idea if that is of any consequence other than somewhat limiting your choice of accessories. Not too many 1-7/8" accessories available.

That little craftsman vac is nice and I recently purchased a new Craftsman Shop vac and seriously considered that one before i purchased my 9 gallon one.

Martin:
Does your Craftsman have a 2" hose? Maybe when you purchased yours they had the same 1-7/8" hose as the Ridgid.
The picture sure looks like larger than the 1-1/4" that Sears specifies on their web-site.

Yes. Its the same as mine. Only problem I have is the flat tip. The one most of us use for vacuuming. Its just too angles and doesn't let me get good suction off the carpet. Only lets me pick up whats sitting on top of the fibers.

I went ahead and sawed of about 4 millimeters off the tip. Now the tip sits parallel to the surface and picks up everything.

The 1 3/4 inch tip gets annoying tho since its soo small.

But atleast I don't have to lug around that huge wet/dry vac anymore around the garage.

The hose SA has on it is different than mine though.

By getting a bigger hose also increases the suction.
sa detailer mentions the bigger hose..

I thought having the bigger hose would create less suction,But dunno my hose is standard..

Sorry to hijack but GregCavi, what is that triangular thing with the handle used for?
Hi im not greg, but maybe i can answer your quest.
That is actualy a pic of joyride garage. I think the part your talking about may be a part to joyride bike rack.. .

The triangular thing is actually a glass cleaning tool.

Is called "Glassmaster Pro". You can find it on Premium Auto Care's Website. Its actually quite good for cleaning inside of windshields and back windows. I don't use the bonnets it comes with, just any old MF over the flat part.

For 20 bucks it's actually one of the best tools you can get for detailing windows.
