Great idea

I seen my friends new Savana the other day and man did this thing shine, I asked him how often he washes and waxes his truck, after all this is a work van, and he told me that as soon as he drove this off the lot he went straight to a body shop and told them to apply two coats of clear. Cost was around $1000.

It got me thinking why more ppl who love their cars dont do this, I for one will do this as when I get my new work truck, has anyone ever heard of this? I love the idea.

I acutally brought up the question, "Can it be done?" to my father the other day. I haven't read much into it, but I think it'd be great both asthetically and functionally.

it would only be a good idea to me if no imperfections are being sealed in with the additional layers of clear. also, extra clear isn't going to make it look better if the thing gets swirled up...it will just provide a longer life to the finish and/or allow more polishing over its lifetime.
