Great detailer needed in Socal

Anyone know of a good auto detailer in LA? I'm very picky as I don't want any swirl marks on my car when it's done. Else I can just take it to some cheap place to wash.

I just don't have the time to deal with it right now and need my car detailed right away.

BTW, my car is black so it's very prone to swirl marks. I've been meticulous by using MF towels and wax. I need to make sure when it's done, there aren't a bunch of swirls.

If anyone knows, please let me know of any recommended places. Thanks!

not too take business away but there is a few other fellas that come in to mind one too Chris another is Richard and George

just to add some spice to the mix.....

in all honesty you cant go wrong either the pro detailer i mentioned or scottwax mention Patrick @ exceldetail or Joe @ Superior shine....

if i was in your shoes that a tough decision i guess i would have too by five cars and send one to each to maintain them on weekly basis...good luck on your desicion...

i'm sorry but there are alot of us small detailers that don't have big companies or our own websites to sell products that are just as good. Some of us don't have the time constraints like these people so we can spend the same amount of time on customers cars as we do on our own. For example i don't get many customers so when i do get them i spend on average 8-10hrs per car, and make it look as close to brand new as possible.

Feel free to make contact, your not hurting my feelings SVE......... :2thumbs:

no not that i'm trying to, and i wouldn't go over your back as i respect you, your work and the products you sell but some people just piss me off with these things.

well being considered great at what you do isnt always saying they are better at the job they do than you are, im sure the formentioned outfits have outstanding customer service, dress the part, roll out the red carpet, keep you informed on new happenings and products, keep a up to date roladex of every vehicle they detail, email before and after pics to every customer, that sort of thing, if you remove bonded contaminants/swirl marks and properly clean polish and protect a vehicle i seriously doubt any of you would be able to tell one persons work from anothers, i take it the companies scott pointed out have one hellova reputation which is why he mentioned them.

only reason i say all that is i tend to get very lazy with the little things, hell i dont even take before and afters very often, maybe becuase i havent went out and bought a decent camera, but i find there are plenty of things i could be doing to help my business grow and for some reason just dont do them, i bet www.superiorshine.com www.exceldetail.com they do.

My own suggestions for certain detailers aren't meant to slight others. I know there are many fine craftsmen out there and I'm glad to see any of them make clients happy and cars shine. I'm just working from my personal database.

I'm quick to recommend Joe, Chris, Richard or George because I know them personally, I've worked elbow to elbow with these guys and I've seen their skills and dedication first hand. While I've never met Patrick face-to-face, I have dealt with him as a vendor (and he's among the best anywhere).

PC.

No, I know SVE, seriously though. I have enough going on and really cant afford more time for more work...........

dude i'm loosing customers so fast, i'm thinking of just locating someone around here and partnering up or just working with them. Its too hard for a small guy like me, i'm going to call chemical guys, and superior shine, i'm wasting my summer by not working.

How are you losing customers? If you do great jobs on customer cars, what reason would they have to go to another detailer?

its not that they are going to another detailer, its just that there are so many, and i'm not mobile, that i can't really get out there. Its hard getting your name out with just buisness cards, and word of mouth doens't work to well when people can't tell a regular detail from a great detail, because their ignorant.

I get a good number from people seeing *my* cars and asking who takes care of them. Keep your cars in top shape and don't be afraid to approach people that *appear*:D to need your services. You'll get turned down a LOT but don't let it get you down.

Perhaps it is your attitude towards these customers that cause them to turn you down? A potential customer should never be seen or thought of as ignorant. If they don't understand what you are offering, take the time to teach them. If you are still having trouble, look at who you are marketing too.

BTW, no offense meant, but by not being mobile, most would not see you as a professional, but as a hobbyist.

how are you not mobile....you dont have to have a trailer to be mobile....I am mobile just as the next guy....but I just need an outlet and 5 gallons of water and I am set....they provide electricity to you just like they would to a contractor....you have a car right....load it up and you are now mobile....

i get turned down a lot by people I talk to because they think they get the same job as the car wash....I know its not, but they dont, so the only other option is to do someone elses car and hope the car wash local sees your detailed car and gives you a call....some cant tell the difference....some can!

great attitude, and i do that, but sometimes its still a constraint. Like in the parking structure of an office building, you can usually get one, but not both. And then some of the customers who want the whole package and their cars to look perfect and are pretty willing to pay it, but want it done in two hours. When its a 6-7 hour job.
