Great deal on #16 on ebay...

decided to give it a try and ordered 3 cans. the make offer thing seems kinda pointless since she doesnt really take anything under 14 bucks.

I'll answer the flip-side of that Q instead: it might not be everyone's fave on very dark colors where you want a lot of depth. #16 is a somewhat "bright" or reflective wax.

It seems to be deep if you look at it straight on while being extremely reflective from the side. I did a wash/clay/M105/M205/M16 on half of my parent's burgundy Saturn hood to show my skills to skeptics (because of my age), its a dark metallic and looks absolutely wonderful. Maybe I will post some pics in this thread later on...

Heh heh, I gotta :chuckle: about so many people buying multiple cans of this just to "try it". Unless you're a pretty busy pro, one tin oughta last many years. Several tins, that's a few decades worth of waxing for the average enthusiast!

JimmyCutlass-Different people are gonna see it differently. I really like #16, but it just doesn't give the depth I want on my Jag. But then I've used it on black with complete satisfaction, so eh.... :nixweiss

Well, it is all in the eye of the beholder. I've noticed different wax/sealant appearances even seemingly similar colors, different paints/manufacturers have different looks to them. The Carmine Red paint on my Oldsmobile looks burgundy metallic at first look but is actually more of a bronze; the Saturn is true burgundy metallic. Although they appear to be similar in color they seem very different with different LSP's. The fact that one is clear-coated while one is single-stage probably has a lot to do with it, but you know what I mean.

Don't lose hope in M16 on dark color!

I just have an addiction with always stockpiling things i buy for detailing, even if i know i wont use it for a long long time. Some say i go overboard. I say i like to be prepared haha. i have a few light color cars though that will be seeing this though

Heh heh, you and me both ;) My storeroom is pretty much floor-to-ceiling with stockpiled products, and that's in addition to the "working inventory" in the shop. And I'm not even a pro :o

When I die they oughta list all my detailing stuff on Autopia, where people will appreciate it.

Looks like now is the time for all those hoarders to start unloading :-)

Eh..I've sometimes thought I'd put a can up for auction with the proceeds going to a charity (the exposure/publicity would probably do more good than the money). Think I'll just hold that thought until it's not so commonly available though.

If I recall from the past, she does sometimes take a break from listing M16 for a while. We may have to wait for few days to be certain that she has no M16 left. I only bought two and I am not selling!

Meguiars Mirror Glaze Professional Paste Wax:eBay Motors (item 350262645959 end time Oct-15-09 08:34:40 PDT)

Unfortunately the days of her $4 each with free shipping are long gone as she realized she was sitting on a cash cow, but she reposts relatively quickly as I've seen. Theres also another seller I posted above. Enjoy
