Gratuitous pics of my new ride

Here are some pics of my new Infiniti M35 Sport I picked up last Friday. I went into the dealership to test drive the G35, but the M just blew my mind away. After my wife and I took it for a test drive, we were both pretty settled on the idea that my new car just HAD to be the M35 Sport. The G35 is a great car. In fact, after test driving it, I would say that for the money the G35 competes very well with the 3-series.

However, Inifinity really hit a home run with their new M and I knew that I just had to have this car. As a European car fanatic, I never thought this would happen but I went ahead and took new ownership of the best Japan has to offer right now at the $50K level.

That's a sweet car man. I've been seeing those a lot lately in the city. Seems like you're not the only one lovin the new M's. Just curious...which are these comapred to??...TL's, 5-series, Avalons...???

Congrats on the new ride ! I think they did a nice job with that car. :xyxthumbs

Since it's in the 50K range, it's more in the park with the new RLs rather than the TLs. Us TL guyz are in the 30K range.

Thanks for the comments! Not sure who makes the rims. Never really looked into it. But I do love the color and the fact they're 19".

Windows are not tinted. I think it's just the black interior that's making it look like that.

I'd say this car compares closest to the 5-series and the Lexus GS.

WOW that's a nice car! Had lexus not come out with it's remodeled GS (my model of choice) recently, I may have converted and become an infinity guy.

What really sucks is having to drill holes in that nice front bumber for the plate - People's Republic of Calif. @ work.

Yeah, I don't think I can watch when they do the 'procedure'. In fact, I think I'm just going to leave it and just get it done if I get a fix-it ticket.

Did you get a chance to test drive the M45? 335hp and 340 lb/ft of torque V-8 w/ titanium valve springs. 0-60...5.3sec, 1/4 in 13.7ish (Road&Track)

Intermezzo, can't you just get a bracket to hold it instead of drilling holes in the bumper ?

My front plate (have to have it in NY) came with a bracket that bolts up underneath the bumper. Has a 90 degree bend in it to hold the plate.

No, didn't get a chance to test drive the M45. I'm sure it would have been a heck of an experience though.

bcwang, the G35 is a very good car and without a doubt will blow away the M35 from a purely performance standpoint. But after test driving the M35, I realized that the sport/luxury elements of the M suited me better. I wasn't too impressed with the G35 interior either.

I was completely sold on the quality of the M's interior, along with all of it's cool features such as a rear-camera, keyless everything (including push-button engine ignition), rotating headlights, roominess, heated/air-conditioned seats, premium Bose sound, etc.

However, as much as I like this car, I still like the 5- series better, and I'm sure I would have gotten the '06 530I if it were similarly priced. But even when less equipped, the price of the 530I can't come close to what I paid for my car.

I never thought of that. I guess that's something I'll look into. But for now, I'm going to see how long I can get away with driving with no front plate. The wife did the same thing on her car for 4 years without getting pulled over for it.

Awesome looking car Intermezzo, Congrats!:)

For anyone interested, I just got my new Car & Driver where they compared 8 55k sports-luxury cars(including the Acura RL and new Lexus GS) and the Infiniti M45 took first place
