Gotta clean up a mess

Any help here on this would be much appreciated..I have a guy that called me last night seeking advise and troubleshooting on a wheel problem. It seems the guy used and acid wheel cleaner and an apc on his chrome mercedes wheels. The wheels have stained from the mixture of the two products.

Question,what to do now???:surrender

I have not seen the after effected problem but wondered if there was a simple correction process to get the mess cleaned up.More acid cleaner? straight to a polish? I have no idea here guys HELPPPPP !!:inspector:

I will take pics before and after if and when the problem is corrected.

Theres not much you can do at this point except have the Rims recoated....Sorry to here about the mishap.:passout:

Are you certain they're chrome and not fully polished aluminum? That will make a big difference.
This! At least that was my thought. Chrome is the toughtest of the surfaces on today's wheels. It takes a bit to stain them. If they happen to be a polished wheel they can be repolished, unfortunately it is usually costs more than rechroming. In my opinion fully polished wheels without a clear coat are the most difficult wheels to live with. They can be beautiful but they're tough to keep up. You just can't run them in a winter climate and expect them to live.

Well of course I can't say with 100% certainty without having them in front of Me:inspector:

But I can say I have seen this problem way to often.

Also Swirl-a-Matics will spray a Wheel Cleaner on the Wheels/Tires(matter of fact it sprays it all the way down the side of Car:yikes:)The problem with this is the Chemical is Extremely Strong and unfortunatelly the Rinse cycle doesn't Rinse it all off.And of course this will also Stain Rim's:passout:

I wish I had the magic bullett for you, but I don't:(

Thanks GUYS I have not seen the rims but just Heard The Story.I will report The Condition when I see The car..
