Got this buffer as a gift...any good?

That store seems to have pretty crappy stuff but my dad got me a bunch of cleaning accessories for the car as a gift (new car). This buffer seems to be the large ticket item.

Its probably fine for cutting down on the time it takes to apply waxes. I wouldn't imagine it would do anything to remove swirls though. 12v isn't much power for a machine if you want to remove swirls. Wax doesn't really benefit from a machine though. It just goes quicker. Products that remove swirls need power behind the machine to make them work. That's why doing it by hand is usually so ineffective.
