Hey

I broke down and bought a rotary yester day from Amazon. Service was great.

I bought all shown here for $178.00. I chose the free supersaver shipping and I ordered it on Wednsday morning. I was on my doorstep on thursday when I got home from work. :bigups .

My question is are the 2 pads that come with the kit any good? I have some other foam pads and bought a smaller backing plate. Is there anything else I should look at?

Thanks.

Put those wool pads aside. Get some good flat foam pads or invest in the Edge 2000 system. I bought the Hitatchi copy and just bought Lake Country pads that would fit the stock backing plate. Good enough for me to learn on.

Since your starting out fresh you should go with the Edge 2000 pad set up . You won't have to worry about a backing plate and with the wide selection of pads available it would be a good move . :buffing:

I know great detailers who will ONLY use wool pads, just like I know great detailers who will only use FOAM pads.

Either will do a great job. I prefer foam pads myself, but those pads will work fine. You paid for them, you might as well learn to use them.
