Got Keyed....

Man I hate it for you. If I caught someone doing that, I would be in jail for sure. I do not understand people that do things like that to others property for no good reason. These people seem to pick out nice shiney cars to do this to. They would not even look at some rundown rag.
 
I actually caught a baggy pants teenage kid keting my car a few years ago. We did not know each other and he felt that my car was too nice so he keyed it. Heres the car:

Anyways, I ran after him for about 3/4 of a mile until he ran out of breath and I "arrested" him myself and called the cops. I was an MP in the military so I took him down hard and fast. We had a nice "talk" while the cops were on their way, It took the kid who was 18 BTW, 6 months to pay for the damage ( which wetsnaded and buffed out perfectly BTW ) .
 
I have a 20 yr old son. I taught him to respect others property. I just
cannot understand that mind set. I think it's jealousy.

they got my 2006 silverado also and i park like you do joyride....

for the repair on my truck the costs was 589.00 they keyed the driver sideof the box and the rubber flair

the fix is that they have to sand and repaint the black color coat and clear the whole panel your inshurence company will cover it under vandlism/comp

Man!! That really sucks! I'm so sorry to hear that! I know how you feel. My car was only 3 weeks old when someone in my complex rear ended me sometime in the night. I woke up the next morning to the bumper all smashed in! It was $1,000.00 of damage! I never did find out who did it, but I remember how mad and sick to my stomach I was. I mean, I kept her so clean, parked far away and walked everywhere I go and BAM! It sucks, but in the end, what is truly in our control? We do our best in life, but really everything is out of our hands. We cannot chose when we will be born or when we will die, if we will live safely or if some tragedy will befall us? It's all the big unknown. I think the best we can do is life life to it's fullest and enjoy every good day that we have because we never know what tomorrow is going to bring.
 
.......yeah i just had some punk attempt a drive by side mirror smashing....the person missed a huge softball size gash in the drivers door.......f'd up
 
Sorry to see that happen to your car. Sometimes it's not worth it to have anything nice b/c others hate us for having nice clean and shiney cars. Good Luck with the insurance.
 
I am 17 and I almost wanted to kill some guy that got paint transfer on my car. I don't know what i would do i some one keyed my car
