Got Dog Hair?

Here are some pics of a car I did at work today. I think a dog had been living in it for the entire 40,000 miles that are on the car. The pics show the inside, but the outside had dog claw marks on all the doors as well as various other scratches. I didn't get any befores of the outside since the main event was the interior. The interior got MAJOR brushing, blowing, and vacuuming, and lots of wiping down.

The exterior got a full buff/wax/dressing.

It took me and another guy about 5.5 hours to finish it. Good thing they didn't make us do that one on flat rate pay.

You have enough there to make a wig for a Mexican Hairless! :LOLOL

I use a version of this for dog hair removal.. works like a charm!

Best part was.. I found it in Christmas Tree Shops for a $1.99!

Gonz, I also have one of those.

Though someone showed me one of these recently that also works amazingly well for dog fur.

A lava stone.

Thanks for the complimets guys. We were using those rubber dog hair brushes. They worked good for about 90% of it. The last 10% we got out by dragging razor blades across the carpet to kind of flick the embedded hair to the top.

I'll have to try the lava rock trick the next time I'm dealing with pet hair.

I have three, and when they "go for a ride"... the vehicle gets vacuumed within 5 minutes of arriving home!

Yeah, good job. And Mitsu carpeting is one of the worst to work on.

I used to work at a Mitsu dealership.

I once cleaned up a Dodge Ram '98ish with 1 1/2" of dog hair everywhere except the drivers seat.

That was absolutely disgusting! Great job turning it around. Unfortunately I have done a few like that. I really don't know how people can drive around like that, because when you turn on your heater/AC or open you window dog hair blows in you face. Disgusting...

Great job!

Amazing turnaround!! Thanks for the inspiration also!! I am doing a minivan this weekend that has logged a lot of dog-toting miles as well!! Someone said something about an anti-static spray helping with the dog hair so I was going to try that. I will definetly post pics and let you know how the spray works. Good job!!

Great turn around!

I noticed you work for Carmax. I do as well. It's amazing some of the cars that come through that we have to clean. I have yet to get one with pet hair that bad though! I just get the black cars that are swirled and faded to hell and back.

Once again amazing turn around!!!
