Got car out of body shop....need to clay?

Just got my Toyota out of the body shop. They painted the hood and left front fender. Cannot tell any difference in the paint--they did a great job. The car is a 2003. Silver. I plan to clay the car, but I would like to know if I should clay the newly painted metal? What's the "rules" of new paint on car as far as polish, clay, etc.?

When I got my wife's car out of the body shop there was so much overspray on it that I had no choice but to clay it. It wasn't a hard job at all. They just didn't cover the car while they were doing the work. Feel the car and check for overspray. If you detect it then you should clay. The painted parts probably don't need it, but the rest of the car would probably benefit from it.
 
You should ask the body shop person what the rules are because only she will know the gas-out time of paint.

I'm of this general mind with new paint:
clay, polish, wash okay immediately--no sealants or waxes
after one month, everything is okay except natural waxes or silicones
three months later everything should be okay.
