First off, sorry in advance for my beyond crappy camera skills and poor lighting. I got bored tonight and decided to drag the hood off my last car out of the barn and into the garage. This was around 9:30 so obviously I had to deal with what lighting I had around - Check back tomorrow night for updated pictures, If its sunny tomorrow Im gonna take some sun shots outside.

Process:

Wash with carbrite blue liquid

Color X with polishing pad

Optimum compound with meg. cutting pad

Optimum polish with meg. polishing pad

RMG with meg. polishing pad

Poorboys ex via finishing pad

*Little edit, forgot to let everyone know, this was done by PC* :buffing:

If anyone has any reccomendations for taking better pictures I would greatly appreciate it, a special mode or setting I should put my camera in? I struggled being able to show the swirls as they truly were. Or possibly it could be I just stink at taking pictures with artificial light at night :wall Hopefully it's nice tomorrow so I can show you the true results under sunlight

I think the pics are pretty good. I mean its always hard to capture on camera what we all see in real life. I struggle with it all the time in my pictures. GREAT job on the hood by the way! What kind of camera do you have by the way?

what kind of camera? do you have a tripod? if you can use a macro setting on your camera, and do a long exposure shot on the tripod, that would be great.

I mean the pics are pretty good IMO...I think they are a lot better then the quality of pics I have taken. Like I said in the PM, playing with the settings (making sure you know what changes with which settings) should help.
