good one step product for cheapos

Just to give another perspective, I tried some HiTemp polishes and did not like them at all compared to the SSR's. They were very gummy and hard to remove. Just thought I'd add a different POV.
The smell is also SUPER solventy, unpleasant to work with for my taste. PB's bubble gum smell is much better :D

Clearkote VM (my current 1 step obsession)
Meguiar's NXT
Meguiar's ColorX
Gliptone Probuff
Klasse AIO

Haven't tried PwC but would like too :D

What particular product did you try. One of the things I noticed when using the Hi-Temp products is that while they are thick, they need to be worked in well. They do have diminishing abrasives, and works very well with the PC. They also contain the right amount of oils for removal to be easier. As for your troubles, a gummy type removal means:

a) Too much product
b) needs to dry longer
This equals to being a pain to remove!

That is an interesting point of view though. I did notice that weather plays a larger factor in these products. You are abolutely right that they smell like chemicals. This is a factor that they are changing soon I hear. PB's products overall are easier to work with and smell great!
