Good lights for detailing?

Hello again,

I'm thinking about getting a Brinkmann Xenon handlamp for detailing. Do you know where to buy them?

Also, what kind of worklights should I get, and where do I get them?

Thanks!

Heh heh, just finished posting something about his on another thread :D

Short version: for general illumination while polishing I like halogens, but for final inspection I prefer incandescents. My painter's fancy xenon doesn't show stuff that my $20 high-wattage incandescent trouble light *does* show.

And all lights show stuff best in an othewise dark shop.

We've discussed this one to death a few times, might be worth the dreaded search to see how opinions vary.

I got my incandescent light at Lowe's but you could even use a bare lightbulb. It's all about simulating "point source" illumination, like the sun is.
