Ok so me and my cousin were cleanind his civic. I took some goo gone and started removing some sticker mark that had been on his rear view mirror....

So anyways, he goes and takes the goo gone and applys a damn river to his dash board of it. Wiped off fine...but 5 seconds later the stream re-appeared as a white stain. Any way to get this off? thx

Try something like Mother's Back To Black, Meguiar's Trim Restorer, etc, but don't hold yer breath.

From the back of the container: "Test all surfaces before using. Do not use on silk, velour, leather, suede, or rubber."

Well, it didn't say vinyl.

Hmm..maybe the 6:1 water Woolite solution to clean and then dress with something like 303 to recondition? :nixweiss

I would wipe it down with some soapy water and then maybe try some protectant.... I'm thinking it could be 2 things: Either some residue dried off and left itself behind, or it stripped out something from the dash, leaving it white and chalky.

I'm betting on the latter. If it didn't strip too much, the B2B might replace enough so that it won't be noticeable (but I wouldn't count on it).
