GOLF GT TDI x Zymol Carbon

I had a few hour spare on saturday morning, so I thought I'd try out my new tub of ZYMOL CARBON wax, I'd originaly bought it just to use on her GM CORSA (Car in reflection), but I just couldnt help myself & try it on the Golf



Washed her down with 4* Shampoo, then a wipe over with Zymol HD-CLEANSE to prep the paint ready for the CARBON wax.



Tyres & valances were treated with Meguiars Tyre Shine, which works a treat on the plastic of the valances.



The car is just over 3yrs old (May 03) & have covered 106,000miles to date

It looks great, especially for the mileage! You have more miles than me. My car is an '01 with 103,000.



I wish we had better options on our VW's over here.
 
Those range shots are excellent. Another amazing Zymol detail. It is good to see more people discovering and experimenting with Zymols as opposed to the blind-sighted bashing that used to go on here frequently.



Very wet looking and deep reflective finish.

Yeah lbls1. Not all the Zymol waxes are 'ridiculously' priced. I used carbon on my car today and it looks fantastic! Used it on my friends 06' GTI yesterday and its :drool:
 
That's one fantastic looking Golf, it's how black should look! I know someone who used Carbon on a black Dodge Durango and it looked amazing and held up very well. Nice to see more people showing what Zymol can do.
 
Car looks REALLLY good! Excellent reflections. Has that door in the first shot been re-sprayed at some point? From the first photo it looks as if it's got some orange peel happening there...Just more so than normal...That's the only reason I ask...



Looks VERY nice tho! I may have to try a zymol wax in the future :)

Not as far as I know, & I've owned the car from new.



Maybe its just the high quality German workmanship showing through :nixweiss

Iam Claudius, a new member.Great forum and fantastic site, looking forward to learning alot from you good people.

bmxboy, the car looks superb, it has that typical Zymol shine.Kind of deep and mystereus.But you really should try concourse , yes it is more expensive but a whole new level superior.Imo the only wax that can improve on it is swissol mystery.And then there is theZymol vitage and the royale and the second mortgage and ..........sombody stop me please....

Yes I know what your saying, I already own DESTINY too, which does leave a differnet type of finish to the more comon every day Carbon.
 
Great, sounds like you're an experienced Zymol man.

I have tried Titanium and concourse, but stopped short of (to my eternal regret),going over to Destiny.Instead i got Swissol mystery and that currently, is the one i use.

Have you tried the Swissol ?, and if so , might there be an improvement in trying the Destiny.

No not tried the swissol, although I have Souveran, P21S, NattysBlue & Harly wax in my collection of solid waxes....
 
Even better,

Of the waxes you mentioned, and assuming a good level of preparation (Menzerna),which would you

choose for a silver car?.Keeping swissol for the black metallic.

By the way would you agree that Rotary buffers are being unduly victimised in the recent years.

I am a weekend warier and found to my delight that as long as one exercises commonsense-

(Lowe speed to start and no more than 1500rpm), one can get more impressive results , than

with even a good RO like Rotex......
