Golden Glanz

Geez . . . I must be lucky, because Glanz has never streaked on me either. Not even on a black car in mid-August with 100% humidity.

Lay it on fairly thick. Then let it dry for 10 minutes or so. Wipe it off. Streaking will appear in a few hours. I've been experimenting. :) The problem is easily avoided however. Just apply and remove to one panel at a time. This method works even if you use too much product. Like Scottwax has said, Glanz is truly a wipe-on/wipe-off product.

Mikeman out.

The reason the dealer sticker was on there was probably not because of "them no listening", but because they put them on before you even take delivery. In fact, all of the cars that are put onto the lot probably have the stickers put on at a "storage lot", or somewhere else where the rest of the inventory is kept.

Just so ya know. :)

Not sure I understand . . . the directions specifically say to apply thin. Why apply it thick when less is more? If the panel shows streaking or solvent buildup, simply mist a MF with QD and wipe clean. Done.

Best advice then would be to let the sales person know you will not accept a car with a dealer emblem affixed to the car, and make them write it into the contract and have him/her and the sales manager sign off on it.

Sounds like a good idea; however, I did that when we purchased my wife's 2004 Honda Accord EXL-V6. When we arrived, not only did it have the emblem, but a front and rear license plate frame, too. :furious:

I refused the car and made them find me another one just like it WITHOUT the damn emblem, just as they were contractually liable to do. I.E., I made them sign-off on it just like you suggested.

Applying it too thick is not something I would do on purpose; but I get a little carried away sometimes. As for the fix for streaking, that's exactly what I did. The thing is, I don't WANT to QD the car after I wax. I'm too slow as it is. :)
