State who you are, what you do and how you can be contacted. Don't worry about the displaying of credentials if you have none because your article is going to speak for you.
If you have credentials a mile long but cannot write an informative and entertaining article then what good do the credentials do? Write a clever, informative article and people will know your no slouch.

I write many posts spontaneously, so I know the desire to 'take something back', but hey, if that's how you feel...
