I admit I must be way old not to have at least 1 of these units in my stable.I would like to know what kit to buy here a flex,or pc unit for my personal car care.

Yes that's a lot of money but I am sure like my rotary it will last many moons not doing outside work on a regular basis.

Also got my order in for the nattys red, blue, black hole and some others.

The pb trim restorer is good and will be a 3-4 step process on heavy workaround door handles and fender flares.Good news is it will do the job! My problem was I did not leave the product on long enough.I have had it for over a year on the shelf and after one application gave up,but yesterday after multiple coats found a great product.

Thanks guys, product knowledge is KEY to getting the most out of good products...:yay:dcrules

You'll get lots of varying opinions on which polisher to buy.

I've always used a PC and I'm perfectly content with it. It's one of the most dependable machines you can buy and I've never heard of anyone having a probelm with a PC.

But your details will take longer with a PC...

A Flex has MUCH more power and rotation, but it will cost you $300, where a PC will only cost $109. The Flex is obviously 3 times better machine than the PC for 3 times the price.

So really, it's personal choice... I'm satisfied with the PC for now.

Since you already have (and appear to be proficient with) a rotary, you would probably be just as well off with a PC to use as a final polish machine.

:10: they are a perfect match for the rotary proficient :bigups

Yes, the process of using a product is just as important as what's in the product ;)

I don't think I've ever read it stated as such before. Is there a concensus out there that I have missed? Better how?

I have found that I reach for the PC many times more than my rotary, and for my personal vehicles almost exclusively. FWIW, I bought both units for less than $300 total (including freight).

Thanks gentlemen, I will not be in a production rate while trying to get one out so I can give the customer there ride back. That said,a few more minutes is of no concern to me.Proficient<??? Like I have stated I am out of the loop so to speak,I have not kept up with the new products in the past 3-4 years. The old trouble shooter and after that for swirl marks ment go over the car with the same product uou just buffed with is my era.And then the finish was straight yellow wax, and that is what you had at the end.

I will say that this forum and the constant input from the board here is a valueble tool in itself!

In times like these you gotta change, or get run over for holding up the bus.

Thanks again fellas...

To elaborate on what Poorboy said, if you knew how to use the machines and knew the process from before, then the products should work very similar, if not the same. A polish is a polish, so to speak. Good products do make a difference, but I imagine that I can make a car look great with what a lot of folks here would consider terrible products.

I am sure what you said is right,it is all in the doctors hands.

I just placed the order for the PC and the PB products. Its like riding a bike, you never forget.:thanks:D

I agree 100% on this...I have a orbital and a rotary I use them both..depending on what I am doing
