Gloss-It

I've used a few Gloss-It products, but it's been several years ago. The few products I did try I found to be mediocre at best

Welcome to Autopia Forums Isla !!!

I have a bottle of Gloss- it from a detailing friend that is so old I cant read the label and he didnt remember what it was . I will get a picture up in a while to see if anyone can identify it.

Be classy ,not sassy.:D

Anyone know what this is? Maybe a sealant?

BTW welcome Isla Turbine. We are normally a very nice group of people!:bigups

I attend quite a few car shows and I see the products sold there. Carlisle Pa in particular he has a good size stall. Never bought any of his stuff, so I don't know how good it is.

Isla. I added a positive to your rep to try and get rid of that red dot you've got going

I understand why Ronkh came at you like he did. He is very protective of this site and it's vendors. Once you get to know him, you'll see he's a good dude. He use to hate me too if that makes you feel any better :D

Holy High Prices Batman:

Gloss It Gloss Shampoo (1 gal):
$111.25 (on sale from $160!)

Gloss It Gloss Enhancer QD (1 gal):
$99 (on sale from $100 - you save a whole dollar!)

Gloss It Wheel Cleaner (1 gal)
$99 (on sale from $120)

I don't know if the stuff in those bottles is any good, but it sure cost a lot.

You gotta try some of the PBMG products here: Blackfire, Wolfgang, and Pinnacle. They are top notch products and cost much less. Often they go on sale as well. Optimum and Duragloss are very good as well.

I just can't believe the non sale price of the shampoo is $160. Who is paying that ???

Isla welcome to the forums, ronkh is just being protective. This forum is a getaway for many of us so we can stay sane.

As an obsessive car washer, you must know the type of OCD we all have. This is our little sanctuary to meet up with like-minded individuals, so we like to keep it clean (no pun intended).

As for your question, I've never even heard of Gloss It, but at those prices I'm just going to skip.

I think if you try a couple of items from Blackfire and Duragloss with an open mind, you're going to realize how much money you could have saved.

Trust me when I say this, I try LOADS of products. I'm not a detailer to make money, but rather to buy more detailing stuff. All my detailing revenue goes straight back into detailing itself lol.

I've learned one thing from all of this: You don't need overpriced items to get amazing results.

Save yourself some money and stick around here, you'll be a convert before you know it :)

Looks like it may say "Liquid Polymer Sealant" ? Just a guess?

I thought I would chime in. Sorry,This is not a gloss-it bottle or one of our products.

This thread was just brought to my attention and think every one is entitled to there own opinions on what detail products they like or use. I don't see the need to "bash" some ones opinion because they like a product and how it performs.

Gloss-it was launched at SEMA in 2007. We are not just a product manufacture but also a world class detail & paint correction studio for the past 23 years. We are no rookies in the detailing business and are here to help produce and develop products that save time, money and produce results that equal or perform as the same level as the best detail products available in the detailing & car enthusiast market.

So if the product was over priced and did not perform how could are business continue to double each year?

Welcome to AF Rich :welcome:

I have neither good or bad things to say about your products. A member from another forum (Aesop) sent me a couple of your products to try about 5 years ago. I think one was a car wash soap and the other was a polish/compound

Max or Meghan may be intrested in carrying your line. Maybe you should try and make contact with one of them?

P.S. You should send DetailChick a few of your products to try for us ;)

Hello Trouble,

Thanks for the positive welcome;) I will send you a private message regarding your friends Max or Meghan in carrying the gloss-it line.

I can also chat with DetailChick if she is interested in testing gloss-it.

Thanks for the heads up and please let me know if you have any questions about the range.

Regards,
Rich

Mrgloss,

I would be happy to forward this thread (as you requested) to my friends Max and Meghan, but unfortunately they have banned me from their site. You would probally have better luck doing this yourself

As far as testing your product, I'll leave that decision up to you

To the OP, I have use some of their products a few years and do work well but found them ( at the time ) to be a little overprice for my wallet. Remember this is my opinion.
