Ok. Here is the deal. I have a Gliptone rep working hard to get me to try his products. I'm not one for trying new products. It cost money and time. But they are telling me that they have some products that work as well or better (I have heard that more then once) and would like me to try them out. What I'm wondering is what products of thiers do you used and how do you like it. Right now I use...

Meguiars

Malco

Valugard

And a few products from a local dealer.

What can you tell me about them?

Gliptone is a company based out of NY. They are popular here in the North East. Their entire consumer line is found locally in my Pep Boys.

I have used their Pro Buff Cleaner Wax which is my favorite one step cleaner wax because it contains slight abrasives for swirl and light defect removal.

Anthony Orosco has used some of their professional stuff.

In my experience with their prodcuts (which includes others besides the Pro buff in their consumer line) is that they are not bad. They aren't better than say Meguiar's, but rather, a solid product line that delivers nice results. It'll get the job done, but it hasn't really delivered the "holy cow" factor if you know what I mean for *me.* I have had Gliptone wax look great, but as you know, it was the result of the prep!

I wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about them, but don't shut them out either. Ask your representative to let you try some small samples of various prodcuts to see if you like them enough to include in your inventory. You may find a product or two (APC, tire dressing, leather cleaner, polish, etc...) that is cost effective and delivers results to your expectations.

Hope this helps James!

I'm not one for trying new products. It cost money and time.

James, at your stageof the game focus on marketing and process and procedure until you have an actual NEED for additional products.

Keep your eye on the ball.

I agree with that. The thing that had me thinking was that I'm not 100% happy with some of my products and if I could find one that worked as good that I liked better then I would be all for it.

I will have to call the guy in next week because he has the clay I want. My supplier can't get the clay I have been using anymore and now will only have clay magic. Clay Magic cost more. So I will get my clay from the Gliptone rep.
