Glass Scratch Removal Help

Hey guys,

Wondering if any of you have found a way to effectively get scratches (kind of deep) out of glass. I have done some research and found that there is a powder called Cerium Oxide that supposedly gets rid of scratches in glass--just wanted to know the opinions of some fellow pros.

Thanks Guys,

Zac

Eastwood sells that item with a drill operable pad. It will only get out slight scratches. The rule of thumb is if your fingernail catches it, it is too deep to buff out. I used it on a classic car and the scratches were minimized but not eliminated. Most folks probably would not even see them. You put the powder (with water) onto the pad and buff away. Spritz with water frequently to keep the glass cool or it will CRACK.

Very easy to make the glass "wavy". Plan on doing the whole panel if you are doing more than one scratch, otherwise feather it well.
