what glass cleaners are safe for tinted windows?

Or which ones to stay away from

I know that ammonia based products are a no-no...

Thanks

I've used Stoner's Invisible Glass and 1z Windscreen with no problems. The 1z is stronger, but twice the price.

I use Invisible Glass when necessary and once monthly clean, polish (non-abrasively), and protect with Plexus.

The Plexus helps maintain that new tint appearance and helps resist filming of tint by ambient contaminates (i.e. vinyl and plastic gases).

~One man’s opinion / observations ~

Stoners Invisible Glass, BTI Chemicals Plexus Glass Polish & Cleaner or Eagle One 20/20 Glass Cleaner are safe for use on tinted (Mylar) glass

~Hope this helps~

I use water.

I have a water spray bottle that I just spray all over the glass (I make sure I am very liberal with the water). Then I get waded up news paper and proceed to rubbing it all over the glass with marginal pressure. After this, there should still be a good amount of water left. I then get out a "California Dry Blade" that I received as a gift to squeegee the window. This is the best way I've found to clean glass. (I wouldn't suggest the dry blade for drying off the car though, I've never done it, and I don't intend to.)

Toss in another vote for stoners! It's the greatest for getting those pesky bugs off your windshield after a road trip or the long drive to get to a track day. :xyxthumbs
