Glass and H2O Spots

I have a car I'm now detailing for a friend, and want to finish it tomorrow afternoon. Yes, I'm doing it in phases.



I want to clean up all the windows except they are VERY spotted with VERY hard water spots. I have tired Claying them some, full strenght vinegar, and Stoners all with little to no effect.:nixweiss



I don't have many other options to buy product at this point, any help is great.



Yes, I have read other postings on this same topic, and have tired the ones listed above.

Any heavy cut polish on a heavy cut pad via PC or rotary should do it - just stay away from wool pads and running above 1500rpms on a rotary.

You can also try a decent AIO product. I've had good luck with that approach in some cases.

I've also heard use #0000 steel wool with Klasse AIO or any good chemical cleaner.

I would try a Magic Eraser next!

I think I will try the Magic Eraser idea since I can get that locally. The Diamondite Glasswork kit I will have to purchase online if the eraser does not work very well.

I don't have any AIO right now, I will get some OPS in the next couple of days.....I don't know if its classified as a AIO.

Prime Strong worked for hard water spots/acid rain, whatever you want to call it on my windows.

#000 or #0000 steel wool with Stoners glass cleaner works wonders on water spots and bugs.

I was having difficulty removing 20 years of built up water spots on my 88 lincoln. Magic eraser would not move it, orange pad and swirl remover couldnt touch it, yellow pad and hd rubbing coumpound would move it but very slowly. I finally resorted to 0000 steel wool and the coumpound. This was also movint it slow. I tried 0000 and Megs NXT.....guess what.....this combination works like a champ. It still takes a little work but boy do they look good

Phosphoric acid based cleaners work wonders on hard water spots, too. Wipe the stuff on, let it sit for a few minutes, and wipe the spots right off. No elbow grease required. Just make sure you don't get any on the paint (duh).
