Give me a QD recommendation...

Hi, I work at a car dealership and am looking for a QD product to wipe down the cars on our show floor. I would like it to be available in bulk (gallon?) and be available locally.

I remember back in the day Meguiar's Final Detail was all the rage, but now I can't find it on their site. Has Last Touch Spray Detailer (D15501) replaced final detail?

I would also be open to suggestions of other products.

Thanks lots! :woot2:

Yep. Last Touch has replaced Final Detail as it wasn't VOC compliant. Final Detail was an excellent product for the price, but I have never used the Last Touch but have seen some favorable reviews on here. You might also check with anly local detail suppliers in your area. Some that come to mind are AutoMagic, Car Groom and Pro Detail distributors. They all have quick detailers in large quantities that they sell to Dealerships and Detail shops

How much cleaning capability do you need? From FK1, 425 is popular, but for a bit more cleaning power they also have 146. They offer one and five gallon containers.

I used the Last Touch that a Meguiar's rep had on hand at an event. It worked nicely, left the finish very slick and shiny. I'd say it's comparable to ClearKote's QuikShine and has a nice suntan lotion/piña colada scent.

For the price (always a huge consideration for dealerships), I think it'd be hard to beat.

Yup, I agree as well.

I like adams, Poorboys spray and gloss, chemical guys (i think they make adams). All should be available in 5 gallon jugs.

You could also go with something like a comercial line, i am not familiar with any of them.

try DuraGloss Fast Clean& Shine...it is a QD cleaner with also sealant in it...

also the Aquawax for the real nice slick shine...just a sealant..

both are so easy to use..and available local..try your carquest auto parts or Napa...or some others..link below show where to find...

http://www.duragloss.com/duragloss-stores.asp

grab a small bottle to try out..if not to your likeing... not a lot of money spent...

they do sell gallons and maybe even larger...plus 4.95 to ship any quanity...

Thanks for all the different opinions. Duragloss and Meguiar's products are available to me, so I think I will try Meg's Last Touch now and maybe the Duragloss stuff later to see which works best for my purpose.

you could technically buy a gallon of Optimum no rinse,

6 oz of ONR to a gallon of water is there QD formula.

So 128 oz ONR = 21.33 gallons of QD for $34.99

The ONR is some nice stuff, but as a QD it doesn't perform like Quickshie or some of the other preffered QD's that are commonly used. It provides a decent shine, but has very little, if any slickness to it. I prefer it as a wash and follow up with Quickshine.

Thanks for the info, I've never used it as a QD, but was eventually gonna try it.

I think you saved me some time and ONR
