Gilmour Foam Gun Problem

that's the thing, i don't know what could be wrong with it. i filled the canister all the way to the top and partially put in the top half so i can see if the siphon tube is sucking up the soap solution in which it wasn't...

I could be wrong, but I believe that it needs to be sealed on to create a vacuum.

BigAl3- Sorry to hear you're having problems. It doesn't sound like a wearing-out problem, but rather like something is simply clogged. Probably something in the main housing, or maybe the little bleed hole in the screw that goes in the top of the housing.

Yeah, I think the bottle needs to be screwed on for it to work right.

I'm assuming that when you took it apart you pulled the sliding mixing bar out and soaked the housing while it was removed, right?

Maybe you oughta soak it in vinegar instead of just water.

I wonder what the people at Gilmour could suggest, I hear they're very helpful.

it works now! :D

i soaked the brass sliding bar in vinegar, and then took a can of air with the straw attached and blew out each individual hole and then connected everything back together and viola!

thanks again guys for the suggestions! :up
