Ghosting on Paint

Hi. I have ghost marks from bird doo doo and bug splatters. The guts and things are cleared up but now i have a clear ghosted mark. compound won't remove it. what can i do to remove it? it seems to be etched in the paint or something

It *is* etched into the paint. The only way to fix it is to get more aggressive. For bird bombs you'd often have to wetsand and that might thin the clear too much. I'd just live with it, that's what I do.



But I'm surprised you can't polish out the bug splatters. Bird bombs I can understand, but bug marks always polish out pretty easily for me :nixweiss



Note that some LSPs resist such stuff a lot better than others, and the ones that work well/poorly in this regard aren't always what you'd expect.
