Getting rid of swirls...here is what I did (longish)

Thanks,

I'm not sure about the other products, as these are what I have used. For the naptha, it wasn't prepsol...it looked pretty generic, didn't even really see a brand name on it, but it worked just fine.

I'm part of the Porsche Club, which does AutoX and track days, and also the Northern California Racing Club for track days.

I haven't done SCCA or other things because A) I've heard the 993s are not super competitive in that area compared to some purpose built AutoX cars, B) not intending to sound like a snob, I enjoy racing other Porsches, as it is a bit easier to gauge my skill as a driver that way...eliminates more of the wonder about how fast the cars are relative to each other.

It's great to see an awesome automobile that's used for it's intended purpose... driving yet kept in beautiful condition. :up

very nice. i liked that write up on the PC about the contradicting stuff, because when i first my PC, i felt the same way. im just wondering, do you have a pic or two of your car under the 500 watt light? now THATS revealing......

lol, those bugs are pretty nasty... i would have been getting pretty sick during that ride.

What aspect of it would you like to improve (and why)? Even with all the new products out these days, I'm still perfectly happy with the stuff I've been using. Yeah, I know, that's not too fun...

Just curious if there is a better product / better way. Before Zaino & microfiber, people thought a washcloth & a diaper were fine... ;)

Thx btw, PFDarkside...she's a hellova ride.

I saw the logo in your avatar...I used to have a Trans Am...first car I ever bought, in 1984. Just sold her a few weeks ago to a guy in New Zealand! Power of Ebay...

Heh heh, other than the MF, I probably use about the same stuff I've been using forever, so maybe I'm just the wrong guy to ask :D

But no, there haven't been any incredible quantum leaps that I can think of, at least not that are relevent to your car (e.g., the ceramiclear paints might be an issue for some people).

One thing worth trying is the new green, ultra-fine clay from Sonus. Used properly, you can clay your vehicle without stripping off the LSP. Very handy, I spot-clay with it at every wash. And I guess I could get on my soapbox about foamguns ;)
