Getting New Clients

Hey guys, i was thinking to myself of how i could go about getting new client around my area. I was thinking where to get the higher end cars, so i thought of all the high-end neighborhoods near me. I realized, i have a good friend who lives in one of the top 3 most wealthy neighborhoods in Baton Rouge. He showed me some of the houses with the aston martin, hummer, and F-150 Lariat 4x4 all in the same driveway... there are many of them like that. I thought that I could go around to the houses with the high-end or variety of cars and go and offer my service by talking about their car's first, then asking if they want their car's to look the best they can be.

Have any of yall done this?

I wouldnt come out and say "would you like your car to look the best that it could?... then ile help you". This is baiting them, and can put them in an awkward position. I would say "hey that is a gorgeous car, if you ever need someone to detail it gimme a call" and leave your card. Are you fixed or mobile? If your mobile, have a sign made that you put out when your working on a car. And put the picture of a high end car on the card, i have a picture of a lambo gallardo i washed once on my card.

This has worked in the past for me.

To add to what Daniel said...instead of just saying, "hey thats a gorgeous car, blah blah...that s agood way to start it, but take it one step further...if you ever see them out in the yard or maybe even washing their car themselves...kindly walk over and say" I could help but notice your car, its gorgeous...then ask a question like..."does this one have the V12 pushing 500hp??" This way it gets them to interact with you. You want them to "brag" so to speak...make them feel honored that they own that car.

Then if they are washing, offer your knowledge...say "wash like this...not like this" then explain why. Knowledge is KEY! You might not sell them right then and there, but drop the line "I would love to detail your car, so I can remove the micromarring you induce while drying with those cotten towels"...Then even offer how to wash it properly.

Most people say, why offer your help like that...I say, its a simple wash, I'm not giving away my secrets, but the customer feels touched...not everyday will someone help them out with out charging them an arm and a leg!

just my .02 :2thumbs:
