Getting my car ready for a car show.

Ok everything is almost perfect but there are some very light swrils. Would klasse all in one be enough to remove all the very minor scratches or do I need to go with a swril remover? Also the show is the 18th of this month and I dont have too much time. Also I have a very cheaper orbital buffer, do I need to buy a better one?

GM paint is pretty tough to correct, especially by hand.

It seems from the picture that the swirls may be a little more than light. AIO is most likely not going to be enough.

Cheap orbitals usually don't make too much difference. The PC is really the way to go.

If you aren't able to get the proper supplies in time, you may consider going with a glaze and carnauba for this particular show.

What ZaneO said. AIO never did any correction for me and it never hid anything either.

In this case I don't know if I'd try to fully correct the marring for this show. You'd hav to get the stuff (including PC, which I think you'd find useful anyhow) and work with it.

For now, I think I'd try to correct the worst spots with something like Scratch-X and use a polish with some fillers on the rest. Maybe Mother's Power Polish, though I haven't used it myself. Meguiar's #9 comes to mind too. Then a product that hides stuff, like Meg's #7 or 3M IHG. Then a LSP (maybe NXT topped with a carnauba) that also tends to hide stuff.

Note that many cars do well in shows despite having marring. There's a lot more to showing well than having marring-free paint.

What about this stuff?

Meguiars Swirl Remover 2.0 or do you think I should just throw some #7 on, NXT and then some carbauna wax on top and call it a day? How long will it hide everything for? I did a while back use Deep crystal polish and it hid everything but came back after a month.

Yeah, that Meg's stuff (#9 v2.0) is just the sort of mild polish with fillers I was thinking of. It's *AWFULLY* mild, so it won't really correct much. But it's cheap and available everywhere (a better choice would be their #80 if you can get it ;) ).

Try the #9, then put the #7/NXT on top. Oughta make things look much better for a while. It'll hide stuff until the NXT wears away. I'd put some wax over top the NXT too. A straight carnauba like #26 or Mother's CA Gold.

How about that P216 stuff? Is that worth thr 31 bucks, I have heard its not. Also what pads should I use?

#80 is Speed Glaze, is that much stronger then Swril Remover? Well I still have time to order, if I order right now. What polish should I order online? I would like something easy to work with and is not going to kill my wallet. What polishes and pads should I use from start to finish?

Would you all say Poor Boys SSR1 and 2 would be the best way to 100% correct the problem? Also will I need to use a cleaner polish on this or is it clean enough? I did just clay it about a month back.
