Get out swirls and tiny scratches

I'm also new to detailing. Having a lot of trouble with getting out swirls and tiny light scratches in the clear coat. The details guys make it sound sooo easy.
Using a new foam applicator. I've used Meg's Scratch X with little success, I tried Pinnacle Swirl Remover with little success, I then tried Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover and made it worse.

Without a pc buffer it will be hard to remove the swirls and scratches. It can be done by hand but its hard and takes a LOONNG time. I will offer up 3 processes to you.

With PC

Wash
Clay
Wash
PB SSR 2.5
PB SSR 1
WAX

Wash
Clay
Wash
Megs #83
Megs #80
Wax

LOCAL STUFF

Stratch X
Color X
NXT

Like i said its hard to do without a pc buffer but it can be done. Ill let others chime in. Hope that helps.

Is the Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover too agressive? It really looked bad, with more swirls and cloudy.
What pads do you recommend with the PC?

I think it is by hand, but that's just my opinion. You gotta be able to take advantage of the diminshing abrasives, and I think that might be hard to do with a more advanced swirl remover of any brand.

Yeah, I'd get a PC, or depending on if the paint is hard, a Cyclo. I have both. With the appropriate product and pad match : least, moderate and more aggressive polish and finishing, polishing and cutting foam pad, learning correct technque and putting in ample ( sometimes tedious) amounts of time, you will see improvement. Challenging hobby for sure but one that is definitely rewarding if you stick to it.
