GEPC, Will it strip Zaino?

If so, would it be safe to assume it could effectivly strip Zaino while filling minor swirls, or micro marring?

I seem to be continually adding micro marring as I apply Zaino. I am going to change my detailing towels and try again.

What I don't want to do is a complete overhaul again. I did the SMR about 3 months ago. Since then the car has not been driven.

I have added three coats of Z and one coat of PS. When I started the swirls were gone.

So, if I was to GEPC the entire car by hand would I be able to achieve the desires micro marr free surface? Next step would be to wash or Z6 then top again with Zaino. If Zaino will not bond then I'll try a carnuba.

GEPC will remove the Zaino but also the micro-marring (via mild polishing and filling) you have obtained over the last few months. The removal of the Zaino is no big deal. I believe too many people are hang up on the number of coats of Z2/5 that they have on their vehicle. Of course this is pointless if one of the layers is marred or damaged and not repairable (hidden) by Z5.

I would just GEPC, Z6 with a good MF and re-apply the Zaino. If you have Z5 I would apply 2-3 coats with ZFX and if you desire that extra "POP" top with Z2.

If long term protection is not necessary I would do a trial of GEPC and 2-3 coats of P21S ( since you have some already) and compare this section with one with GEPC and Zaino (2-3 coats).

Black is a very difficult color to deal with and some products have better "Fill-in" (make-up) capacity than others which helps in maintaining the faultless finish longer between re-do's. :xyxthumbs
